Mike Otto | CEO
Mike Otto is owner and CEO of Fair & Square Remodeling. Mike got his start in the industry way back in 1972.
Through the years, Mike went on to hone his skills in cabinetry, high-end trim, masonry and construction to become a general contractor. In 1992, he established his company under the name Mike Otto Construction. In 2010, it was changed to Fair & Square Remodeling. His hope was to provide homeowners a full-service remodeling company with a team of the most trusted and skilled designers, artisans and craftsmen in the Twin Cities area.

Mickey Mikeworth| Chief Financial Strategist/Financial Officer
Mickey has been here since almost the inception of the company. She brings with her the skill of being in the financial industry for 18 years, working with many different types of industries, and she is also been awarded the Top Women in Finance Award, TWICE. Mickey works on many community projects, is a philanthropist, and also oversees her own financial planning firm, Mikeworth Consulting.
Beth Stump | Project Manager
Beth Stump comes to us after owning her own remodeling company for 9 years. Having worked on everything from new construction to restorations, Beth not only brings a great deal of industry knowledge but an almost innate ability to deliver on a client’s vision within budget. Her focus is always on the customer experience — from process to completion. When not working on one of our client’s homes, you can usually find Beth working on her own…or those of her family and friends. What free time she has left is spent with her wife and dog, Lily. She also enjoys hitting the rink for a quick game of hockey and getting on the lake for a little kayak fishing.
Jeff Hoehn | Project Manager
Jeff Hoehn comes to us with over 30 years of experience in the construction industry, having spent 13 years in concrete and masonry, another 10 years as a general contractor in residential remodeling, and 4 years in insurance restoration with residential properties. He also went to college for construction management — just one more reason why he’s the perfect fit for managing our construction projects from conception to closeout. Jeff lives in South Minneapolis with his dog, Jasper. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with friends and family, hiking with his dog, rock climbing, and building custom picture frames.
Samantha Powers-Narvila | Project Manager
Sam is a newcomer to Minnesota, joining our team directly from Dublin, Ireland. She studied art history at University College London, architectural design at the Harvard Graduate School of Design and holds a degree in Architectural Studies from Tufts University. Sam’s construction experience includes commercial and historic renovations in New Orleans, as well as retail and residential facility management in Dublin. All in all, she has lived in North Carolina, Boston, London, New Orleans, and Dublin. She now resides in Minneapolis with her husband Erik and dog Jackson.
Jesse Longley | Assistant Project Manager
Jesse hails from Champlin, MN and studied history and anthropology at St. Cloud State University. He spent three years as a framing carpenter for Fair and Square before joining our project management team. His free time is spent snowboarding, golfing and playing video games.
Lisa Parendo | Installed Sales
Lisa Parendo works in our installed sales department, where she can be found helping with all areas of production, setting up sales, and managing field labor shifts. She’s also charged with coordinating our work with Accessibility Design, an organization that creates barrier-free environments for seniors and disabled individuals. In other words, she keeps everything on track and running smoothly — responsibilities that suit her well. After all, she has a long history in management and a background in behavioral health and communication. Lisa lives in Maple Grove, MN, raising her children as well as a fluffy, little guinea pig. When not working, you can find Lisa painting, running, and spending time with family and friends.
Sue Jacobsen | Executive Administrative Assistant
Sue Jacobsen works as the executive administrative assistant to Mike Otto, our CEO. Sue handles everything from our calendars to our contracts to our bids. In other words, she keeps this ship steadily on course. Sue lives in Blaine, MN, with her husband of 17 years and her two teenage children — not to mention the real baby of the family, her Shih Tzu. In her free time, you can find Sue carting her daughter to dance, her son to baseball and herself to the campground, where she can steal away with a good book. Her guiltiest of pleasures are romance novels.
Cathy Corgard | Procurement
Cathy Corgard is our procurement specialist, where you can find her helping our clients make their final selections for their upcoming remodeling projects. She’s also in charge of purchasing these selections and making sure they arrive to the construction site on time. Cathy lives in Minneapolis, MN, (Nordeast, to be exact) with her husband, Dan, their son, Ethan, and their dog, Dozer. She spends most of her free time entertaining her son, but still finds time to garden, cook, and bake. We’re wondering if she’s taking orders for Christmas cookies yet.
Tate Mellberg | Customer Service
As our lead customer service coordinator, Tate Mellberg serves as the point person at the end of each construction project, ensuring the client’s experience is always a good one. You can call Tate for anything under the sun, and she’ll happily provide — within reason, of course. Though her background isn’t in remodeling, her interest in the industry stems from her father, who worked in construction for more than 25 years. Tate’s strengths lie in her enthusiasm, communication skills and ability to solve almost any problem. She lives in Champlin, MN, with her husband, Jon, and young daughter and son. When not spending time with her family, Tate enjoys sewing, crafting and baking.
Marjorie Larson | Accounting
Marjorie Larson helms our accounting department, after spending 17 years as a financial operations manager and controller, and another five years as vice president of financing and CFO. She also worked as a consultant, helping companies set up and integrate new financial procedures into existing systems. If you hadn’t guessed, our books are definitely in good hands. Marjorie lives in Plymouth, MN, where she raised four children — who’ve given her 10 grandchildren. In fact, one of her granddaughters is currently studying architecture at NDSU. In her free time, Marjorie enjoys reading, writing, and spending time with the family.
Greg Brumbaugh | Carpenter
Greg Brumbaugh is one of our carpenters. He can quite literally build anything in residential and commercial projects, which stands to reason. Greg is a lifelong carpenter. Even when not working in the industry, he was doing carpentry as a side job. He really enjoys seeing a project through until the very end. Greg lives in Robbinsdale, MN, with his wife, Courtney, their son, Jaxon, and their little Maltese, Sam.
Andy Mansour | Carpenter’s Assistant
Andy Mansour joined our team as a carpenter’s assistant, where he’s been able to absorb all the industry knowledge and craftsmanship from the guys who’ve been doing it for years. Not a bad way to perfect his skills, if you were to ask us. Andy lives in Elk River, MN, where you can find him writing on philosophy and composing music. Yes, Andy is a musician, so here’s hoping we can say, “We knew him when….”
Doug Ommen | Carpenter
Doug has been a carpenter all of his adult life, so he brings a multitude of skills with him. He lives in Ham Lake and enjoys woodworking, fishing and hunting in his spare time.
David Gobernatz | Carpenter
David has 32 years of framing experience, along with 20 years experience in remodeling. He knows what he’s doing – he built his own home from start to finish! When he’s not spending time with his family in South St. Paul, they enjoy retreating to their lake place where he loves to fish, golf and hunt.
Cody Taylor | Carpenter
Cody comes to us with 17 years’ experience as a framing and trim carpenter. He also built his own home, at the young age of 22! Cody lives in Princeton with his wife and daughter, and enjoys off-roading in his Polaris RZR and Jeep.
