The careful restoration of the LaFleur Mansion in Champlin Minnesota was featured in an article by Midwest Home Magazine in 2005.
The article explains how, during the renovation, three critical goals were never far from sight:
- Always maintain the Victorian integrity of the house
- Carefully match wood species and style throughout in millwork, trim and doors
- Use period-piece door knobs, hinges and other materials
The article goes on to describe the home as “a brilliant marriage of east and west in an authentic Victorian mansion”.
